First step is to unload the slabs and place it onto saw.Pieces are cut and labelled with the help of templates.After that edges are polished and Supporting rods are inserted.After that corners are rounded by polishing.In the last step Sinks are cut and holes are drilled.Finally the finished countertops is installed at customers place.

Templating of countertops

You can call a fabricator or you can prepare template yourself.You need to take care of below points while preparing template :

• Make sure that the cabinets fit together and are at the same level
• Some one must be there to answer all the questions.For example the width of countertop
• Check the fitting of sinks and faucets
• Keep appliances at the work place
• Decide on top mounted or side mounted

Granite countertops Installation checklist

Please check these points once your countertop is installed :

• Seams must not be noticable from 1 feet distance.
• Width of seam should be less that quarter of inch and the color at its joining point should match with rest of countertop.
• It should rotate and handle must not hit back wall.
• Overhangs should be even around the whole length.
• All the drawers and cabinets should open easily.
• Gaps must be appropraite between aplliances so that you can remove them without scratching the surface.
• Run your finger over the edges and try to find any unevenness.
• Thickness and profile of the edge must be consistent
• Get the information about resealing.

Precautions

Make sure that the path to your kitchen is devoid of any obstacles and there is no oil or snow on stairs.
