How to seal the granite countertop ?
You need to clean your countertop before sealing it.Spray liquid soap and warm water evenly to the surface.After some time wipe it evenly.This will prepare the granite for sealing process.
Pour the sealing liquid in an empty spray bottle.After that spray it all over the countertop.Make sure that you have sprayed it evenly.Leave the surface for 30 minutes.Sealing liquid will be absorbed by granite in this time and it will close all the porous holes.Basically it will insulate the granite.After that dry the excess liquid.
Never wipe the sealing liquid using paper or rug because it will be absorbed by them.So it will end inside paper or rug instead of granite.
Generally you will need to seal your granite after every 2 years.You can do it easily yourself.It will cost 50 dollar for the sealing of 200 square feet area of granite.
